This has been a particularly difficult year for us but there are no doubt people who have it much worse. I am so thankful for what we have and wish we could do more to help those in need. I came across this tonight as I find myself in the same situation as many people. Just too many monthly bills and no where near enough to pay them. With 4 kids and a grandchild it's hard to just pay rent and electric without having enough for food. Well, if this can be used at places like denny's or ihop at least I can give a meal to a couple of my kids. Just want to say a heart felt thank you to whom ever gave me my gift card when I was down on my luck a few years ago. Now that I am back on my feet again I am returning the favor and doing the same. Thanks Feed It Forward You helped me with an idea. Each day this month I going to perform, according to the day of the month, a random act of giving. So today was 1 and it was a certificate. Tomorrow, the 2nd, will be 2 random acts and so on. By the end of the month I will have performed 496 random acts of giving/kindness many of which will be Feed It Forward Certificates. These will be small seemingly insignificant acts on the surface, but may be huge to the recipient. Here's my reason - my Pastor once said if you're in a hole, don't dig your way out, give your way out. That hole could be a financial, spiritual, or emotional one. I'm in one of those holes. My husband and I have a multiude of friends and family, whom we have renamed our Angels, who were able to pull us through two major medical episodes in our lives with their prayers and love. In 2006, my husband experienced an aortic valve replacement, which was followed by a blood and bone infection. After several months of care, our Angels and doctors were able to bring him back to good health. Then out of the blue in August 2010, we learned that he had stage two esophageal cancer. Shocked by the news, we reached out to our family and friends again to ask for their support to get him though the tough chemo, radiation, and surgery procedures that were necessary for his recovery. As of March 2011, he is a Cancer Survivor!! Without the prayers from our friends and family, we truly could not have gotten though the difficult times. When I received the email regarding Feed it Forward, I immediately thought of our support group of friends and family, who were there with us through our emotional times. What a fabulous way to be able to give our love back to our Angels this holiday. - D.

I was so happy to send a free gift certificate to a friend of mine who is about 400 miles away and I only see maybe once a year. They have a son with Cystic Fibrosis and have many medical bills, so any money they can save and get a night out is greatly appreciated.
